This weekend, Matt and I went to the “Bay Area,” which, apparently, doesn’t always mean San Francisco. We arrived in a land called Union City, where Matt’s brother Mike lives. Union City is lovely and all (there’s a TGIF and Borders), but it’s not exactly cracka-lackin. Oh well. We had a nice time doing something I never thought I’d do. We went wedding site shopping! Yeah, Mike and his fiance Joy are getting hitched next year and we got to tag along as they looked at churches and a reception site. Dude, did you know that it can cost $13 a person to rent seat covers? If I ever have a wedding, it’s totally gonna be BYOBP (Bring Your Own Butt Pillow). This weekend, we also ate yumminess, met up with friends and played Wii. I rocked the hizzouse in bowling and sucked at everything else. All in all, it was a good chance to get away from L.A., even though I don’t really live in L.A., but in Torrance, which is pretty much the equivalent of Union City, so I shouldn’t talk.

Snaps to the Torrance/Union City analogy. ;)

This may just be a total coincidence in names of friends but the names and locations match a little too conveniently … but Joy wouldn’t be Joy from joyeats @ blogspot would it?
