I don’t really like to write about stuff on my blog that I’ll probably eventually have to write about at work, but come on, how often do I get to brag about my college? Well, let’s see. UC Irvine does have one of the best freshman orientation programs. And the recreation center is really neat. Oh, and Michelle’s Kwan’s brother went there.

But this, I think, tops it all.

Dude. Kaba Modern is the most mind-blowing hip-hop group you’ll ever see. I remember sitting in awe every time I watched them perform at the Bren or Aldrich Park. They do these crazy things with their bodies. Popping? Locking? Whatever. They rule. They don’t really say they’re from UCI, which kinda sucks. But what’s great is seeing Jia (the one in the hoochie-mama bikini thing and vest), a girl from my sorority. She rules. (Someone e-mailed me saying another Pi Phi is in the group, too, but I’m too old to recognize her.)

The show premieres Thursday, Feb. 7 on MTV. Watch it and vote!
