We finished the latest magazine yesterday and thus ends another saga of freak-out sessions and crushed cans of Red Bull. I can breathe again, even though after a decent night’s sleep, I still kind of feel like I’m going to collapse. This is the time of the month when I get myself back in order and I’m thrilled to be able to do so during a three-day weekend. May I squeal now? Thanks, EEEEEEEEEEEE! Yes, I have much in store for these glorious 72 hours, including:
- Get my car washed. I clench up every time I enter my filthy mode of transportation, so it’s time, people. It’s time.
- Go to Target. By myself. I cannot be accompanied on this experience as I cannot stand when people ask: “Have you found everything you need?” Le Trip to Target (Tar-Jay) is not about necessity (though it kind of is — I really, really need a Sonicare toothbrush replacement.). It’s about finding love within the aisles.
- Buy more Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. This stuff is amazing. Like Gatorade for your face.
- See a BFF. It’s been way too long. My soul needs her.
- Return e-mails. Hopefully that will get done today. You know those “I am on vacation” auto-response messages? I thought about creating one that said, “I will be in the middle of a crisis from 8/18 to 8/21. Please call my cell if urgent and even then, there are no guarantees that I will pick up.” But I succumbed to better judgment.
- Have a drink. Or three.
- Revise life plan.
