I was supposed to get braces when I was a teenager, but my dentist didn't think I could handle it. I suppose I could do one of these if I had to, but I think I'd feel exactly the same re: loving to eat on a whim. At least it's only a year, I guess though, right?

I've always wondered about Invisilign! I had braces for two years in middle school, like many kids, and-- like many kids-- promptly stopped wearing my retainer. Ugh. Braces are wasted on kids! Not my teeth are crooked again! I have health insurance at my new job and got excited that I might get a discount on Invisalign-- but orthodontics are only covered for kids! WTF!

It sounds like a really good diet. If you want to eat something you really have to think, "is it worth it?"
I personally would add floss to the brushing routine. Food bacteria incubating in a warm moist enclosure... *shudder*...

i didn't mind braces. but if i got them later in life when most people don't have it (i got it in middle school which is the appropriate age) i would probably consider against it. this seems like a good choice!

If you don't mind me asking, was it crazy expensive? I really want to get something, but I'm worried about the cost. Maybe I should just call one of those hotlines or whatever.

Can't wait to hear more about your experience though!

My coworker has them and she said it took a while to get used to them and speak properly, but it's better than having a mouth full of metal.

I am going to get them eventual. I still can't afford the near $200 a month payment for them.
