First of all, holy moly. Thank you so much for your wonderful messages. My crusty old heart has never felt so warm. All weekend, Matt has been like, “So what do you wanna do now?” and I’m like, “Let’s read the blog comments again!” I’m all swoony inside.
I think Matt and I are still trying to process what just happened. (I now have a fiance. Weird!) At the same time, a friend just handed me about 60 pounds of wedding magazines (no joke) and people are telling us we need to book a venue like now and our parents are already drafting guest lists and it’s kind of like whoa. Can’t I just sit here and stare at the sparkly a little while longer?

Your obligatory ring-on-finger shot. I’m so obsessed with this thing, you have no idea.
Alright, I guess that’s enough (boo). Head in the game, Michelle. Let’s plan a wedding!

It’s beautiful!
SO SHINY!
Beautiful!!!!
Love that ring, LOVE IT!
Congratulations AGAIN! Haha. That ring is freaking gorgeous :)
Beautiful! & it’s unconventional, which I like. :] He did good!
Congratulations again, Michelle! Can’t wait to hear more about what you’ve been working on, by the way. I mean besides planning the wedding! :)
I love it I love it!
You must check out Weddingbee (best wedding blog out there, bar none, and you’ll get to love the “bees”), and also Style Me Pretty for inspiration. And I agree that you must book a wedding venue now.
But… you must book a wedding venue NOW just as soon as you’re ready to start wedding planning. And not a moment before. You *should* take some time to drink in what just happened and not worry about anything else – it’s a big deal!
Beautiful!
I’m swooning right here for you!!! So excited for you! Oh, and as a recent bride, it’s actually REALLY helpful to know approximately how many guests you’ll be having as you shop around for venues. Trust me, it matters! Also? I never got used to saying fiance. It never rolled off the tongue all that easily. Husband is much easier to say. And one last thing? I’m going to email you my list of questions to ask photographers … seriously, maybe as an editor/writer you already know this stuff, but it helped me immensely weed out unwanted vendors!!!!
wow! Congrats!!!
If you need help or advice, I got you Michelle. :) Florist’s daughter here, with 10-year wedding decorator credentials.
oh yes trust me i know how crazy it all gets. luckily we’ve been able to stay under the radar a little bit. and my friend gave me a massive box of wedding mags.
but it’ll be fine and yes just enjoy it, it’s wonderful :)
