Matt and I had a very full weekend of wedding planning. Warning: This is the point in this post where half of you should just click “Unsubscribe” while you’re ahead. I’m sorry, but it has already happened. I’ve turned into a crazy wedding lady, which translates into a crazy wedding blogger, and there’s nothing you can do to reverse it. If I had my way, I would set our wedding date for two weeks from now because I seriously don’t think I can keep up with this little brain for an entire year. It’s spinning! Venues! Colors! Chairs! Dresses! Weeeeee! (No really, someone please get me a sedative.)
Anyway, so Matt and I looked at venues this weekend and I think I found The One, but Matt says I think everything is The One and I guess it’s kinda true. When I see something I like, my mind is like OK, with this, we can do this and this and OMG THIS. Let’s write the check RIGHT THIS MINUTE. And Matt’s always like calm down, crazy lady, let’s weigh the pros and cons blah blah blaaaaaaaah. Then usually, a few days later, I fall head over heels for something completely different.
But for today, I’m very much in love with one particular venue. You guys, if things work out, we would get married under a tree! It’s kinda weird because Matt and I are not really “tree people” (we’re much more “couch and laptop people”) but I dunno, when we saw this place, we were like yeah, this could totally work.
We’re not done searching, but it’s a big comfort knowing that there’s at least one place that excites us (and fits our budget, size requirements and all that other stuff). Here, just for fun, is some tree inspiration.

You know, brides are crazy no matter what they do. Either you’re crazy for diving in so quickly to the planning. Or you’re crazy for being more of a free spirit and not worrying about that stuff. I say eff what everybody expects of you and have fun. ON YOUR TERMS. After all, many many years from now you may or may not remember these people with their opinions, but you will definitely remember this very special time in your life!

Brides are crazy because the grooms let the brides get crazy. I did all the planning for our (non) wedding. She just sat back and enjoyed the show. Women have no better taste in men when it comes to this ridiculousness. The shutting of Modern Bride is a testament to the fact.

I’m going to agree with SinoSoul, here. Let me take the reigns and run with it. It will be the most beautiful wedding a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Here’s an idea to help you have some direction. :)
I found myself overwhelmed with all the choices and how my wedding could have so many different themes, feels, directions, etc.
So! I sat down one evening and put together a set on this website to give me some kind of direction. You could put a few together and pick what you like. It should help ease your mind a little bit.
Here’s my set: http://www.polyvore.com/coco-cola_wedding_palette/set?id=11172792

And this site is amazing with helping pick colors!

Okay, so Matt’s comment totally made me crack up.
Also, Charlie and I got married under a tree. It was beautiful and I loved it. I’m very much a fan of outdoor weddings. It comes out better in pictures too. :)

I vote for getting married under a couch and a laptop.
A tree is a good second, though. For sure.
