Woo! American Apparel Super Sheer Circle Scarf

Recently Updated

Bedroom photoshoots are fun.

I’ve never been a scarf person. You see, where I live, in Southern California, we don’t really do that whole cold thing. There’s something slightly awkward about busting out chunky knit accessories in 74-degree weather. (The more extreme offense, of course, is pairing miniskirts with Uggs. So not cute.) Plus, I’m prone to itchiness. A lot of neckwear is itchy.

But while in New York, I came across this cool thing at the American Apparel outlet. It’s the Super Sheer Circle Scarf—a scarf that’s fully connected to make a circle. It’s made of super lightweight cotton T-shirt material and it is so soft. When I felt it, I went all Lenny and dragged Matt over, saying, “Oh my gosh, you have to pet this!” It was on sale so I bought it, and pretty much haven’t taken it off since.

The instructions show that there are like three million ways to wear it. As a dress! A skirt! A crazy-looking top! But I’m rather partial to donning it as, um, an actual scarf. It’s cool, versatile and unfussy. Welcome to fall in L.A.
