I have a lot on my plate this week and my dear friend Caffeine is helping me through. I love coffee but the stuff makes my stomach hurt so I usually turn to tea for my daily jolt. I’ve never brewed loose tea but I’d like to try it. It seems that those who start never return to supermarket tea bags again.
Of course, I’d need some supplies. Cute ones, obviously.

How do you caffeinate?

Oh man, my kitchen looks like a tea shop! I have several tea sets and bags/canisters of loose tea everywhere. Private Select makes my favorite bagged green tea, but I really recommend Mountain Rose Herbs: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com
Awesome, thanks Jen. I have a feeling I may be brewing a new obsession here (har har).
I do both loose and bagged tea. I have this teapot for loose leaf http://www.peets.com/shop/essentials_detail.asp?id=1193&cid=3004 in purple, which is perfect for one person. And then I also have a teapot similar to the first one in your post made by Bodum that I got on the cheap at Tuesday Morning. I love tea!
love tea ! my house also looks like a tea shop, I recommend anything by bodum – they have excellent products for tea. I have mugs, kettles, cups, etc all by them! try some milk oolong tea , it’s so yummy. for that kick in the morning without all that extra caffeine, hunt down some yerba mate tea (I swear by it). Let me know if you have any other tea related questions – been reading your blog for a long time! love it! :) -another hip cool Michelle
I also love coffee, but it also sometimes hurts me. I brew loose tea with the little cloth-like bags. Not the most ecological choice, however. I have all kinds of metal contraptions and tea pots but I find cleaning out the loose tea after is a pain in the butt. Where does it go? In the garbage? In the sink?
I’m partial to Rishi blueberry tea. It tastes good and like it’s good for you. I think you can get it at Whole Foods.
