Just in Case

When you don’t feel like lugging around that bottomless handbag, this nifty phone case will hold your bare necessities: ID, Visa, a $20 bill and maybe the business card of the cute boy you met last night.

  1. DANG IT DANG IT DANG IT! i was going to design something JUST LIKE THIS!

  2. I found this when I made a iPhone case list for one of my freelance jobs and I’ve been wanting one ever since. Such a good idea!

  3. Genius! I want!

  4. At first I thought this was a totally great idea, but as I watched the videos on the seller site, one woman mentioned how even with the case on, it fits great in her pocket. And it occurred to me … why not just stick your ID and credit card in your pocket, since that’s where you’re going to stick your phone-and-case?

Maybe I’ve been reading too many stories about minimalism lately, but I thought $35 for a product seems a bit steep since I already have pockets. Of course, if they slapped a strap on there so I could use it those times I don’t have pockets …

And I just realized that if you wanted the case for screen protection (that’s part of the case, right?), then that would be a reason to get it. (I’m not an iPhone user, so I’m not sure how crucial screen protection is.)

  5. Penny, I agree that $35 is a bit steep for a phone case.

When I go out, I like to carry my phone around. It’s kinda sad — maybe it’s like my security blanket. I usually don’t have pockets unless I’m wearing skinny jeans. But a phone in a skinny jean pocket looks bulgy.

  6. And if it were a phone case that also had a slot for chapstick and/or tampon, now we’re talking!
