The Intel® Core™ i5 processor with Turbo Boost Technology is fast. Way faster than my four-year-old laptop. Even faster than Matt’s laptop. (I WIN!)
I’ve been using it for, well, everything. You see, I am the world’s fastest and most frequent tab-opener. At any given time, I’ll have 8 or 10 tabs open to who knows what — Gmail, my Google Calendar, Woo!, Google Reader, Yelp, Twitter, that YouTube video of cute animals that someone posted on Twitter. Now

Your friends no longer have to huddle around your computer to awwwww in unison while watching fainting goat kittens or to LOL at this all-star, comedic version of “We Are The World.”

Oh, the things I could do with a faster processor. As a PhD student, I spend a lot of time on the computer analyzing data. Sometimes the data analysis software makes everything run sooooooooo slowly. With a faster processor I could probably graduate in 4 years instead of 6!
I’d stop dreading computer time and go back to enjoying it if I didn’t have to wait (waiting right now! – :( ) and wait and wait and wait.

A faster processor would be a dream come true! My laptop constantly overheats, not to mention runs as slow as molasses. When I try to watch a TV show on it, the sound is ahead of the picture. Everything just takes so much longer to do because the computer is a piece of junk. I think my quality of life would improve with a faster processor. :)

Like you, I am a notorious tab opener and shiny things distract me away from what I am really trying to do. I like to call it multi-tasking but it is really just me being dis-tracted. My desktop isn’t the fastest machine plus I only have DSL available in my remote area so a faster processor would help me over come some of my machines and my services short comings.

A faster processor with the ability to do 4 things at once will give me a chance to multi-task. I like tech equipment that keeps me organized. I’ve read that you really can focus on one thing at a time in the frontal portion of your brain, but tell that to a teen who has to listen to music, text and watch TV and computer all at the same time. It’s called executive functioning and isn’t fully developed until age 21, so I guess they’re still malleable or moldable until then, but you’ll meet with a lot of resistance.

Faster processor would help my searches go faster for medical sites and support…I often overload with too many “windows” open and it crashes me. (I really dont know much about computers…my hubby says I need some serious lessons).
Id’ also get my kids grades info faster and can meet them at the door with a high five, OR “the look” depending on what the campus info has told me for the day. ;)
Lastly…I am trying to read blogs, find great products that I can get reviews on before wasting money on something AND enter fun giveaways for my family. I REALLY overload on this and takes me FOREVER to do! I Wish I may I wish I might have a faster go at this computer craze!

I volunteer part-time as an editor. The work requires lots of moving page to page on multiple websites. On my current computer, I swear I can feel my hair turn gray as I wait for pages to load. The work is ultimately rewarding, but it takes far too long to accomplish just a little. Oh, how Intel’s Turbo Boost would save my life!

Since I’m currently using an ancient (by today’s standards) laptop that doesn’t have the processor speed or RAM to handle multiple programs, a faster processor would allow me to finally multitask and switch between programs as frequently as I’d like, such as going between Microsoft Word, my web browser, and Windows Media Player, instead of having to make Sophie’s Choice about which program to use. :) Thanks!

Let’s face it. I just need a new computer.
I work from my computer, however, it is a slow inefficient process. I also do animal rescue, which is 99% computer driven and lives depend on timely responses. The reason for my inefficiency? A 1992 Dell Laptop, sorry everyone, a four year old computer would be a God send. A new one would be right up there with replacing my truck that has 314,000 miles on it.
