They were right.
The Intel® Core™ i5 processor with Turbo Boost Technology is fast. Way faster than my four-year-old laptop. Even faster than Matt’s laptop. (I WIN!)
I’ve been using it for, well, everything. You see, I am the world’s fastest and most frequent tab-opener. At any given time, I’ll have 8 or 10 tabs open to who knows what — Gmail, my Google Calendar, Woo!, Google Reader, Yelp, Twitter, that YouTube video of cute animals that someone posted on Twitter. Now
with this superfast processor, I can open new tabs so quickly. “Oooh, a J.Crew sale!” [open] “What’s this? An article on how chili cheese fries are actually good for you?” [open] “I wonder what’s happening on Facebook since the last time I checked 15 minutes ago.” [open] It’s all too easy. Some call it ADD. I like to call it smart multitasking.
Some features, as explained by Intel:
• Delivers extra performance whenever you need it, and increased energy efficiency when you don’t.
• Features 4-way multi-task processing that allows each core of your processor to work on two tasks at the same time.
• Automatically speeds up your processor when your PC needs extra performance
Another super-cool thing: The package came with a WiDi adaptor (Intel® Wireless Display), which lets you use your HDTV as a computer monitor.
I must admit, it freaked me out a little when I saw my inbox exposed on the big screen (Matt says it’s perfect for couples who don’t trust each other). But for watching videos, it’s great. Your friends no longer have to huddle around your computer to awwwww in unison while watching fainting goat kittens or to LOL at this all-star, comedic version of “We Are The World.”
Look how cool Woo! looks when it’s supersized.
The sound and picture quality is sharp.
