Fringed poncho from Anthropologie, floral halter from Ann Taylor (sorry for the screenshot). Hellooooo spring.

This year, I’m so not ready for spring. I haven’t gotten a cute umbrella yet, or the fuzzy fleece onesie I wanted, and I haven’t even had a chance to watch old movies by the fire or snuggle up with a good book while listening to the rain patter against my window. Winter, come on, just chill. (Haha, get it? I just made that up!)
But alas, that is life in Southern California. (Wah-wah.) With warmer days ahead, people are already talking backyard barbecues and afternoons by the pool. While that doesn’t seem to excite me just yet, these cute swimsuits sort of do. They both seem somewhat forgiving, and sweet mercy, I need to be forgiven.

I need a new backpack. I’ve been lugging around my laptop in my old Billabong backpack and once two of the zippers broke, I asked myself, is it really age-appropriate for an almost-30-year-old to be sporting a backpack that says BILLABONG? I thought about getting a fancy leather satchel so I could look like a sophisticated graduate student as I sit in coffee shops and do my work, but then I thought, ow, shoulder pain, lopsided muscles, ow. Here are some backpacks I think are pretty cool. From top to bottom, Poketo, Roxy (I know, but it’s better than Billabong), Herschel Supply and Poketo. I’m leaning toward the black one, but the multi-colored one is so fun. I like them all. What do you think?

I hope I never become too sophisticated for random, quirky hoodies. (Remember Dino Hoodie?!) The man behind HeadHoods is pretty much my hero.

I love just about everything from this Hanii Y sale happening now on Swirl. So sophisticated and chic. (P.S. Doesn’t the model look like Taylor Swift?) Too bad I’m on a shopping diet. Sad trombone.
