The Viliv X70: Wedding sanity in my purse. Win one!

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Intel.

Sure, I can dream up the most magical wedding in all of weddingland. But turning that dream into a reality?

Uh, help?

Most brides keep some sort of wedding binder that’s neatly sectioned with important contracts, monthly checklists and budget sheets.

I, on the other hand, have a lone folder on my browser titled “Wedding,” filled with about 50 bookmarks of pretty, squee-worthy things I’ve found around the internet over the past couple months years (name cards, signature cocktails, hair baubles — oh my!), along with a brain that’s spinning faster than the final contestants on So You Think You Can Dance. Not quite the most effective wedding organizational strategy, let’s be honest.

Luckily, I have Matt, who is good at charts and calculations (gotta love a man who can crunch numbers, rowr), along with our wedding planner, who keeps us on track, time-wise and budget-wise.

And then there came this. BlogHer and Intel must have sensed the wedding chaos over here and so kindly sent help — in the form of a nifty technological wonder called the Viliv X70.

X70EX
It’s a 7″ touch screen mobile internet device, which in non-geek terms, means it’s a computer, but in cute, tiny form (it’s about half the size of a single issue of Martha Stewart Weddings). You can access any application you could ever need for wedding planning or life in general, such as Excel (for seating charts), Kindle (for skimming wedding vow samples), Skype video conferencing (for bridesmaid dress brainstorming sessions), Paint (for sketching floral arrangements), a music studio (for building the reception playlist) and GPS navigation (so your fiance can find the nearest cliff to drive off of).

This little guy covers everything.

I’ve been playing with my Viliv X70 and while the touch screen does take some getting used to, the applications seem limitless. I’m excited to try Netflix (you can watch films right there on the device), TweetDeck and the Live Photo Gallery.

Intel builds processors, or the “brains” of your PC.  Now Intel has designed the Intel® Atom™ process, which has been designed to be smaller and more power efficient, enabling you to get devices with full PC functionality that can fit into your purse or pocket.

The Viliv X70 with full PC functionality is now available at Amazon.com for $599+.

Want one?

Awesome, because I’m giving one away.

  1. How adorable is that little guy! This is probably horrible for me to say, but I could definitely use that to get out of torturous holiday chatter (“When are you going to have kids?” “What do you do at work again? Taxes? Okay good, how do I save money on my taxes?” etc etc) by suddenly looking very worried and claiming I have to “work” and duck into a side room to play around on it. By keeping a serious face on it will look like I have important business going on, but really I could just be updating twitter. haha!

  2. I like your netflix idea!

  3. um what an awesomely fab geek-tastic giveaway!! I would most definitely use this for skype.

  4. wow it just sounds like a fun gadget! and i wouldn’t have to lug around my laptop if i had that!

  5. Okay, um…WOW. That thing sounds like a little mini brain robot thing! Love it. Now what to do with it as far as the holidays go…

Well, seeing as I won’t be here for the majority of the holidays (Israel, here I come!), I’d say that I’d watch a ton of movies on it in the places we’re staying at since, well, I just bet that they won’t have The Holiday or Love Actually on DVD there. Just sayin’…

Hope the wedding planning is coming along! :)

  6. I would use it to avoid having to carry around my laptop everywhere. It would be especially helpful to check my work email….or just read blogs.

  7. Jennifer Chang

oh my goodness. this is the best thing that i’ve seen yet! i’ve been planning my wedding too and it’s been super heavy carrying around my binder of pictures, contacts. etc. my fiance keeps getting mad at me because when my shoulder starts hurting, i ask him to carry my purse around! as a professional event planner, i like carrying my binder around because i never know when i’m going to run into someone i know or when i’ll see something interesting and want to take a photo of it or write it down. having something like the viliv x70 would make everything SO much easier (not to mention easier on my shoulder!)

  8. Well, I would use it to escape the horror of shopping by escaping to the luxury of my favorite coffee bar (wine bar in the afternoon) and completing all of my holiday gifting via the comfort of free WiFi, triple-shot lattes and Malbec.

  9. I would use it to access your blog and read about your slow evolution from bachellorette to a nice form of bridezilla.

  10. so cool. I want one so I can search for gifts to buy my friends and to search for terms like “brussel sprouts.” love you mish!

  11. With all the impending baking for gifts, I’d create a spreadsheet for cookie allotment, use Paint for label design, Kindle for cookbook reference, and GPS to get all those hard to find ingredients!

(I thought your post was hilarious.)

  12. That is amazing! I wish I’d had it when I planned my wedding. I had the Wedding Bag…the red wedding bag that Macy’s gifts you when you register there, and it had an accordion folder in it that was, in theory, organized. In reality, I just shoved things in it and hoped I could find them when I needed them.

However, that gadget would TOTALLY help organize everyday life. I always have problems with what to eat for the week, lunches, and now christmas shopping! Whew. That thing rocks though, and if i trip and fall on a pile of money, i will totally buy one. :)

  13. I think it would be useful to organize Jess’ scatterbrain :)

  14. Neat, I would so use that to not get lost when I go traveling.

  15. Hmm… I think I would use it to:

*Use the GPS to figure out how many hours the normally hour-long drive to my relatives is going to take.

*Use Web surfing to find recipes for all the leftovers.

*TweetDeck to tweet all the ways my relatives are making me question whether or not I’m adopted.

*Build a couple databases with Excel. Guess I should do some work.

*Read. Yeah, that’s as much as I can say about that.

P.S. “Squee-worthy,” statement of the week.

  16. How cute and little and cute!

  17. Wow, this looks like it covers everything! I would definitely use it to plan my wedding. Just because I’m not engaged yet doesn’t mean I can’t plan! ;) Seriously though, I’m loving the Kindle aspect and would probably use that and Excel the most.

  18. This would be oh so helpful in keeping track of Christmas gift lists and checking for the best store prices while on the go.

  19. I. Love. it. Swoon! It would save my shoulder from constant laptop carrying! I would be a blogging maniac with the Viliv X70 at my disposal. I’d Christmas shop myself into a frenzy this month! I’d Tweet about everything I bought. I’d make lists of everything I bought! I. Love. It.

    P.S. Netflix? Booya!

  20. http://twitter.com/michellewoo/status/6471182971

I would use the Viliv X70 to re-connect with my childhood memories…such as watching the Care Bears Movie, but ON THE GO! I would sing along to the song on the following link…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAI8ohIs76c&feature=related

“Forest of Feelings, Care-A-Lot, and Earth aren’t far apart / They differ in some ways, some ways not / Cause home is in your heart.”

I would definitely use this sucker while taking a #2 as well. Maybe do some Sudoku, or hit up some internet news sites!

Haha this was fun! take care michelle. =P

  21. ho hum. hulu isn’t accessible from our country. we weren’t allowed to take part in those cool little starbucks giveaways. and now this, too? clearly canada has really pissed off the internet.

  22. Ooh! I can see myself taking this little device everywhere! It will be the perfect companion on my flight back to Los Angeles from Boston – especially since I will have free wi-fi thanks to Virgin America!

I can then show my parents when I get home, fight with my brother over it, and then catch up on the 1000+ Google Reader entries I have to catch up on :)

    Thanks for the opportunity Michelle!

  23. Oohhh! Sooo cool! I would use to to wish happy holidays to my friends from out of town and to organize my Christmas lists!!

  24. So much fun! I can’t enter *shakes fists at BlogHer* but congrats on hosting this giveaway!

  25. The things I could do with this little wonder! Well there’s reading stuff for class, doing homework on the run, checking email for possible job offers and internship opportunities, updating the blogs and social media for Furry Friends Rescue, read Michelle’s blog, tweet, chat, etc.. oh the list goes on and on.

It definitely appeals to my OCD self! :D

  26. I’d use it to read books and distract myself from the long drive while traveling.

  27. I don’t have a fancy internet-y cell phone, so this would sort of substitute!

    I would:

    * Update my blog while I’m away from the computer.
*Update my Twitter without Mike knowing I’m a COMPLETE ADDICT.
    * Entertain little cousins by showing them photos on my Flickr and Facebook.
    * Google “internet addiction.”

Good LORD, I want to win. Please? Yes? Great!

Did I mention, Michelle, that I adore you? Love you, even!

    For real.

Not just because you have a pretty, techy giveaway. This is just finally getting me to confess it.

    Amen.

  28. Who’s your wedding planner? xo

  29. seriously.. i need another gadget to “consolidate” my life haha.

    http://jadeheart.blogspot.com/2009/12/ocd-meets-technology.html

  30. WEDDING PLANNING!! eeeeek!! I’m getting married in september and this would be life altering. you know what i’m talking about. :)

  31. I’m the only person I know who doesn’t have web-browsing on my phone, and won’t be getting it anytime soon (we’re downgrading after our 2-year agreement expires next year to pre-paid phones to save money).. so having a portable PC would be perfect! I’m always needing to look up directions and phone numbers and don’t have access to internet. The Viliv X70EX would solve all of that! :)

  32. Nice toy. Perfect Christmas gift for me. :0)

  33. I would use it to get organized for the holidays, a lot is going on. I tweeted about it on twitter.com/namethatframe

  34. Good luck Michelle. This would definitely be helpful for me next year. I am starting school again, and especially since I don’t have a laptop to take with me, this would be very helpful in helping me with my homework and such. Thanks for the chance!

  35. I would use the Viliv for all things honeymoon! I could plan it. Then lug this little baby around Europe instead of my Macbook. And I could have all of our travel guides and fun-vacation-reading on it. And it could entertain me while Tyson plays Fuzzle and Bejeweled on his iphone.

  36. I would use it to organize the chaos that is in my head. :) And schedule more Noodle Club meetings.

  37. I would use it to access my google reader when I’m waiting for the bus.

  38. I would use the hell out of that! I don’t have/can’t get internet service at home so… Yeah. I’d use that for everything! Evvvvvery.thing.

  39. I have a desktop PC, and my phone doesn’t have web browsing capabilities, so when I’m out I feel lost! When I go away for Christmas I’ll be at the mercy of others to share their devices. This would make my life so much easier!

  40. So the question was how would we use it this holiday season? Well I could tell you the hundreds of ways that I could use it every day, but like those crazy wedding planning women- I am a planner. I like those charts, graphs and excel spread sheets. And yes – I would love to have one of those cute, tiny mini-computers with super-cool programs that I can use all the time.

I would first configure my new Viliv X70 with all of my favorite programs. Yes that does mean adding twitter to it. AND then some MAJOR holiday shopping organization. With charts, color coding, crossing off names once completed and REPEAT!

I also tweeted to spread the word: http://twitter.com/taratweettweet

  41. Hmmm… I can’t use it for wedding planning, now that I’m married. But I’d definitely use it to keep me organized as I head into my final and most important semester in grad school. Perhaps it’ll keep me one step away from insanity and one step closer to pummeling my classmates/competition with my mental prowess.

  42. I would use it to keep in touch with my family. My husband and I live in Texas and all of our extended families are in NC. It would be great!

  43. I’ve been a secret lurker on your blog for awhile now…this is my first comment! My boyfriend and I have recently been talking engagement. I already find myself getting lost in wedding daydreams. I would love to use the Viliv X70 to plan my own wedding. (In theory right now, but in reality soon!)

  44. Wow- what a giveaway! I just discovered all these BlogHer giveaways yesterday. Looks like I’ve been missing out on a lot!

I’d use the GPS to get me to a warm, tropical location…. or perhaps Skype to talk to my out-of-state family. :)

    mdmerenghi@gmail.com

  45. Um, I’d use it for law school, which is not as exciting as wedding planning (far from it it) but I’d definitely use it while sipping a eggnog latte at my local coffee shop. The latte + the X70 would brighten up the sorry state of law studying affairs.

  46. Lovely give away!

Now, I would not use it for something important as a wedding, unless I get a boyfriend, he proposes and we get married within the next week or so, BUT I would definitely use the GPS for my commutes from Northern CA to Southern CA.
I would totally use it for schooling as well. Its so impractical to carry around a huge laptop when you have classes, lunch, church, and the classes with NO apartment runs in between.

    :)

  47. oh man this is awesome. i would definitely use it for my wedding planning needs as well, i need some organization!

  48. This is my little twitter.
    http://twitter.com/KristiMarHowell

I promise I tweeted about it. I couldn’t get it specified to the specific tweet though.

    :)

  49. wow, I want this bad!!!!
oh and I twittered about it too! http://twitter.com/SensiblySassy

  50. Must. Have. This. It’d be like giving my OCD a manicure :)

  51. Errr, not gonna lie — I’d probably just use it…

To blog. And read other people’s blogs. :)

  52. Ohhhh la la! I’ve been dying to replace my dead laptop for like, two years. this would definitely suffice for what I’d use it for. Movies, blogging, twitter..!!! This is great, thanks lady!

  53. Wow, the Viliv X70 sounds perfect! I’m always on the go doing a million things & like to travel as light as possible. Too bad I can’t take it with me to Antarctica & Argentina over the holidays. I would use it for GPS, email, read nytimes & ebooks, netflix, view & upload photos. I’d be so productive on flights & subway rides. As head planner amongst friends for multiple group trips each year, it would mean no more collecting info from tons of sources, printing & binding a dossier for everyone that probably weighs as much as the Viliv X70! In 2010 I’m going to South Africa, Vietnam, LA, SD, Miami, Memphis, Nashville…maybe Morocco or Central America too & that’s not counting my frequent weekenders. I would get so much mileage out of it! I can webcam & skype with friends & family scattered across the world. It would come in handy for my night & weekend classes. Heck, it’s probably better than my ancient powerbook at work. The options & uses are endless!

  54. i always thought i couldn’t multi-task… until I started working at my current job. ten emails appear when i sneeze. three phones ring when i save a spreadsheet. i have forgotten the meaning of lunch. i am contacted by people all over the world. and sometimes, i’m sending people all over the world. i log on to my work computer from home each night to keep up. imagine the work waiting for me after each weekend. i have a three week vacation coming up and everyone can’t seem to get over how “lucky” i am. yet, all i can do is keep myself from panicking at the thought of everything i need to do. imagine how much this device would keep me afloat while physically i am away! i need this. and even if not from you, i am determined to get one someway, somehow!

  55. Small and light enough to carry on hiking excursions! Just in case I get lost, I can send for rescue ala Batman.

  56. I would give this to my hardworking on the go daughter. What a great way for us to keep in touch!

  57. Hey Michelle, we are a young family (us and two boys) trying to break the cycle of debt by putting any and all extra money onto our student loans. Needless to say, our stockings are going to be a little limp this year.

My husband works two jobs and goes to school nights to make this possible and I would love the chance to show my gratitude for all of his sacrifice by putting this little beauty in his stocking. It would rock his world!

  58. I blogged about it!

  59. i would be thrilled beyond belief. I travel a lot on wknds, and this would be so helpful to log on when I’m out of town!

    mjf926 at gmail dot com

  60. following on twitter

    melindajoy926

  61. I’d use this during the holidays to keep up with my blog reading, email reading, etc. We’ll be traveling to be with family and it’s great to have a small device that is easy to use and not have to worry about finding somewhere to pack it.

    mattschmunk at hotmail dot com

  62. I need this!!!!

  63. I would use it to keep my life better organized! How handy to have such a small computer–it’ll fit right in my purse!!

  64. i would play on it while i’m stuck on the couch/park bench/waiting room, etc. nursing the baby :-) what a great giveaway, thanks!

    aprilwoodscary at gmail.com

  65. What a wonderful little idea! As a working mommy blogger, this would be the perfect way to stay on task! I ♥ it!
    Happy Holidays!
    Christi
    roeger {at} cox {dot} net

  66. This would be amazing!!! I could sooo use this for pretty much everything. It would be so much easier than dragging my heavy laptop around with me. :)

    victoriahoffman [at] gmail [dot] com

  67. How would I use this little package of goodness? I would get organized like mad, right? Of course. “He” would be my new best friend, my assistant, if you will!!

  68. I’d definitely use it for twittering. It would definitely help with organizing deadlines for school and/or work projects!

  69. Wow. What a sweet little gadget. Touchscreen, GPS, Netflix–I’d probably spend the entire holiday season showing everyone what a cool new thing I got.

  70. I don’t have an internet browser on phone, so I would love to be able to check email, update twitter, get directions, etc while on the go! This would be wonderful!
    beck.ashley AT gmail DOT com

  71. Am I eligible to win this thing? I could use some more toys.

  72. I need this! I need to get organized! This will help.

  73. I would use it to bring cool media to boring business parties, to either share, or to go hide under the coats and at least keep myself entertained, and to tweet on the go. Sweet!

  74. I would use it to stay in touch with my best girlfriends!

  75. Well, I’m a travel writer, so this would come in handy on all my plane flights, over Christmas and the rest of the year! I’m always under deadline, and my Mac is always acting up at the most inopportune times!

  76. NETFLIX!!!!

  77. I would use it to get online easily while we’re traveling for the holidays. My inlaws are still on dial-up, and lugging the laptop down to the coffee shop is a pain. Something I could stick in my purse and have with me at all times would be perfect!

  78. we are traveling for two full weeks and it is always hard to find a computer or internet connection for a long enough time to check emails, let alone respond to them. it would be so great to have my own device right there available any time i need it!

  79. I tweeted here:

    http://twitter.com/imagitec/status/6505993268

Not really ruining my chances, since I have only one follower.

  80. Last year, I read my first e-book: Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Like most people, I thought I knew the story but had never read it. So I sat down by the light of the Christmas tree and read it on my Touch Pro. I was pleasantly surprised, both by the story and the e-book experience, even on a device as small as the Touch Pro.

But on an X70, the experience would be so much better. If I was fortunate enough to win the contest, I would sit down with my nieces and nephews and read them this classic from the X70.

The rest of the year, I’d push the capabilities of the X70 – especially the inking, which I’ve never used before – to increase both my work and creative ouput. I’ve been taking art classes and I look forward to having a drawing pad everywhere I go.

    Rob Campbell

  81. I am driving 10 hours home (from NYC to Detroit) with my ex-boyfriend and our shared pup. All in a small car. So I would use this to watch Netflix on the ride!

  82. What an awesome giveaway! This nifty little gadget would make my life easier at work! On slooow days (I work in the car business.), I could instead be looking at and editing pictures of my 14 month old son I’m missing so much! Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Holidays!

  83. it would never leave my side!

  84. This would be awesome! For my job, I need to be online at all times. Which can be a problem when traveling, especially during the holidays. I don’t always like to have to lug my laptop around, so I could take this with me to my mom’s for Christmas!! It’s so cute, the design is sleek, and this item is just HOT. Thanks for the chance!!

  85. I would probably use this to keep my inbox from getting out of hand while I’m away from the office over the holidays. That and about a million other awesome things it can do. Oh, I want, I want!

  86. I could use it as a fancy paperweight.
    OR
A portable media & YouTube hilarity to share with family on the go.

  87. I would use everywhere! Waiting to pick-up kids, waiting at the doctors office, waiting anywhere!

  88. I’d use it for online xmas shopping! I can’t deal with crowded malls, so I’d be all over etsy and amazon!

  89. I would use it to be even more addicted to the internet than I already am. Neat contest Michelle!

  90. I would use my new toy for songs and fun!

  91. Awesome little thing.

I am a graphic design major at a University in Utah and I have so much I could use this for. I have lots of work I need to complete over Christmas break and I feel like this could really help out!

Thanks for the chance to enter!
    Jade

  92. This little gadget is so cute. And what a great stocking stuffer

    karina@ussery.net

  93. I’d use it for comparison shopping- I could find the best deals whether online or across town!

  94. Katherine Wollner

  100. lately i’ve been using the internets to find zhu zhu pets (which annoyingly have been white washed and referred to as “battery operated hamsters”) for my daughter for christmas.

if i win this, i don’t have to ask for an iPhone (and switch carriers, and re-learn a phone, and give up my samsung . . . )

  101. See, I am a bus commuter. Two hours each day. I would love to have something more entertaining than the latest paperback to do on that bus ride! Please, please, please!!

  102. I could blog from the grocery store! Not that I would, but I like knowing that the capability is there.

  103. Oh my if I won I would use it to check email, tweet and check my facebook.

    arlene
    arlene9999@earthlink.net

  104. :) I would use it to store my lecture notes so I can STUDY while taking the bus/walking/eating/drinking/talking/ etc.
Especialllyyy jotting down ideas for film projects!!!<3 & not get lost when I travel.. :D teehee.

  105. I would use this little number to increase my productivity between job sites.

  106. I just discovered Skype. We have it on the laptop…that I’d now be able to leave AT HOME. And I’d still be able to be in touch with the kids , single mom extraordinaire. (Show me that you unloaded the dishwasher!)

    Ahhh, I can dream…

  107. Lisa Montgomery

If I won I would use it to check mail, blog and all those fun thing I could be doing on the internet instead of being productive. I need this devise!

  108. I would use this to watch hulu and utube…oh yes I would…I can’t do that at work, or on my phone…I feel that I am missing out.

  109. I would use this for so many things: grocery shopping, to do list, directions, book downloads, etc.

    Please, please, please…

  110. She’s so pretty . . . I think we could be very good friends.

  111. My boyfriend goes to the bathroom a lot and always takes his iphone with him so I am left sitting there waiting and waiting. I would use this to be productive in those situations!

  112. I could use this to stay connected while I am out and about with the kids!

  113. I would use this little gem as part of my “start my own business” goal. I am an engineer & want to work from home doing design/drafting/technical writing.

  114. Oh, I want to win this for my twin sister. She has had a rough year and is disconnected from the world a lot of the time. This would keep her little chin up!

  115. I travel quite a bit so I would take it right along with me. Very, very cool!!!

  116. I would feel lucky

I would use this when I’m on the road

    mjharvey26 at yahoo dot com

  117. I would use this to jot down writing ideas as they come instead of struggling to remember them until I could get to the computer!

  118. I would give this to my husband as a Christmas gift.

  119. This would be great for doing some work (not to mention surfing the internet) while away from home. Plus, it would make it easier to write on the go.

  120. I would use this to write my stories, watch movies, and make Christmas plans.

  121. I’d be able to see my list and keep track of what I’ve already bought instead of having 3 gifts for one cousin and none for another!

  122. I’d use this to keep track of my to do list and maybe catch up on a few movies while commuting on the train.

  123. I would use it to keep in contact with loved ones who can’t be with me during the holidays and to keep myself occupied during the surgery of my daughter which is coming up soon (after the holidays, i hope).
    Margay

  124. It would make the very long swim meets I sit through more endurable. I would be able to do some work, stay connected and check live result updates. This weekend I will be at a pool for at least twenty seven hours. No exaggeration! I would Christmas shop from the pool!

  125. I would love this. I am a stressed out teacher who works constantly so this would go a long way to make that stress alittle less.

    lauraleeharris@gmail.com

  130. This is pretty much the definition of awesome. I’d use it for keeping in touch with all my family and friends, spread across several continents! Sometimes it’s hard to find time to sit down at the computer and actually talk to someone (through skype or IM or whatever)–it’d be a lot easier with something this portable.

  131. To watch movies while Grandma entertains my kids!

  132. Santa could make my dreams come true!!! I could really use it since my three teenagers seem to have adopted the current house laptop as their own. GRRRRR.

  133. Such a sweet gadget! I would use it so simplify my busy life. I could use it to keep track of all the stuff that’s in my planner, as well as use it to surf the web. I’m starting a blog of my own, so it would be handy to be able to check up on my blog wherever I go!

  134. I would use it for work- would be great to catch up on e-mails, etc.

  135. Oh how wonderful it would be to take my computer with me when I go out and about. I could blog from Barnes & Noble, or from the local ice cream parlor, or from Harris Teeter, or from the front yard while the children are playing. It would add an entirely new dimension to my blogging. What a blessing that would be!!!

  136. Wow this is a great gadget! I would use it like anyone else uses a laptop except I don’t have one and it would fit right inside my purse!

  137. I would use it for all things geekishly possible.

  138. I would use it to create my naughty and nice lists! And to organize my holiday card list, just thinking about that makes me queezy.

  139. I would use it to keep track of appointments. and gifts sent and received. Too many “senior” moments lately.

  140. We have to travel in the car with 3 kids this holiday season A LOT. I would let them watch hulu and keep the peace and my sanity!
    tuesdayef at aol dot com

  141. I would use this to keep track of my Ebay auctions, packages being sent, and of course to blog this holiday season! So cute!

  142. I have travel plans so this would be a great source of entertainment!

  143. I would use this in the car rider pick up line. It would help pass that b-o-r-i-n-g wait every day.

    thecitygirl74@gmail.com

  144. Oh wow! I could blog during my daughter’s dance class and ignore the other dance moms who are just a tad bit crazy! This thing would be a dream come true!!

  145. I would use this for every trip to FIELD HOCKEY games and the boy’s football games!! Put me down for a gazillion entries!!

  146. This is so cool! Reading the comments has given me more ideas on how I would use it! I’m a grad student, and would definitely use it to study, but I didn’t even think about Skype! That would be fantastic! I just moved to Massachusetts (for grad school) and it would be so great to be able to keep up with my family.

  147. I would use it to skype with my sis who is away at college! So much better than just talking on the phone! :)

  148. I would use it to help run our small business! It would be perfect for travel as well as keeping up during the day!

  149. Definitely would use it for work and Grad school!

  150. There are so many times that my husband and I have gone somewhere and I only wanted to check my email…we have to lug his laptop along with us. This would be perfect instead. I like that you can also watch NetFlix movies on it…for those times everyone else is hogging the TV and I want to watch a movie.

  151. I would love to have the Viliv X70 to make it wasier to keep in touch while I am out and about with my son. It would make christmas shopping so much easier!

  152. I tweeted about the give away.
    http://twitter.com/stacyg32

  153. I posted the give away on my blog:

    http://pinellasmoneysavingmoms.blogspot.com/

  154. Connectivity geek that I am, I would LOVE this. We have a pretty good commute and I’d love to put Netflix movies on this and be able to check my email in airports, etc. without lugging a laptop around. (A few years ago, I would never have considered a laptop something that was “lugged”…oh, how tech changes our perspective!)

  155. I could use this while my husband and all my kids are taking up every other piece of electronic equipment in the house!

  156. Since I will rarely be home this holiday season, this would be awesome for just about everything. I could check to see if online stores have what I’m looking for when the store is all out.

  157. John Melendrez

I’m in the process of working on opening my own landscape business, so I would use this to keep track of business contacts and job proposals and finding my way to potential customers and checking my email on the go to name a few things.

    Melendrez@mail.com

  158. Taylor Goodwin

Well since my laptop is slowly dying as I type I would use it for all my day to day computer uses, e-mail, facebook, blog reading! And since I could take it with me too work I would never have to worry about forgetting that important e-mail at home any more!

  159. A lot of my time is spent at our local K-8 school. My laptop has turned into a desktop since the agonizing and s-l-o-w death of its battery. So, I’m comupter-less while I’m up there, and jumping on and off various admin and teachers’ computers is getting downright pesky. (I consider it a bit of a fair trade as my nearly 10 year old cell phone is the only phone that has any ‘bars’ in the bowels of the school so people are always tracking me down to use my phone…)

    Thanks for doing this.

  160. I would use it to entertain my toddler while traveling!

  161. Wow, that’s cool! I would use mine to keep track of all those random thoughts bouncing around in my brain that I want to blog about…pieces of paper are sooo highly losable!

  162. This would be perfect for keeping track of my gift lists and tracking all the online orders we usually make!

  163. Winning this would be perfect timing as my laptop has bit the dust and being online is essential to getting my new business off the ground. This would be perfect and I could be online pretty much anywhere. This is absolutely what I need to be successful!

  164. I’m an amateur photographer and this device would make it so easy to manage my photography portfolio. I would be able to show my work to prospective clients on the go, which would be especially handy during the holidays!

  165. I would use it to keep in touch with educators outside of school email, relatives long distance and to read your blog.

  166. I know that I would be using this to keep in touch with family and my Facebook page. All of our family and friends are long distance for us and I to use up the minutes on my cell phone.

  167. oooh! one more masterful tool to use in my plans to take over the universe!! muhahahah!

I’d love to use it for wedding planning, budgeting, making music, socializing, and watching movies. :)

  168. Santa baby, slip a Viliv X70 under the tree, for me …

  169. This would be sweet for snuggling on the couch with my boyfriend while he watches something boring like football.

  170. I would feel super happy!

    I would use it everywhere!!!

    bluegirl1423@gmail.com

  171. It could be awesome to have this little gadget when I’m out and about and I need to work on my blog, tweet, or be connected, my cellphone is, well… just a phone, I cannot even get text messages :)

  172. I’d use this as a portable photo album, so when I visit my grandparents this Christmas I can show them what they’ve been missing by not having computers with Internet access!

  173. I would love this! Life is always so crazy and on the go and oh how this would help stay connected! And it is just too cute! Hope to win!

  174. I think I would use it to help stay organized and on track with life!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding, too! :)

    Rebecca B.

  177. So cool! I would love this little thing! I would use it for my holiday shopping…that I still haven’t even started. hehe.

  178. I’d use this for my online shopping, and my brick and mortar entertain the 7 year old some I can get something done shopping. Thanks!

  179. Hi! I love the idea of the Viliv X70 and I’d use it to help my kids (8 year old boy and 5 year old girl) with learning. I could see loading a flash card program for them and it would be so convenient and fun. Kids movies on the go would also be sweet!

Thanks and have a great holiday!

    Tom

  180. This would be perfect to give to my husband so he would finally stop hogging my laptop all the time!

  181. we travel a lot during the holidays and it would be great to have on those long road trips!

  182. I have an hour commute by subway each way every day, and even though I bring a book to read, I usually just end up playing games on my cellphone. If I had one of these babies, I could actually get work done! Imagine that!

  183. I would love if Santa could drop this little guy off at my house on Christmas. ;) I can imagine how much easier lugging this from class to class would be than a laptop – and I’m sure my parent’s pocketbook would be happy, too, as they wouldn’t have to buy me a computer for school!

  184. I would use this to take with me on the road. I am always on the go and this little device would come in handy. I would love this as a Christmas present. Thanks for the chance;-)

  185. I would use this while i am on the road!

  186. I would let my kids use this in the car! They are always so loud and screechy back there…this would quiet them down for sure! :)

  187. I would use this on road trips, plane trips, and in class!

  188. This is a cool gadget and would be extremely handy for me in grad school. It would work as my planner, notebook, library (accessing journals online), directory, computer, . . . since I carry a backpack all the time because of the laptop, this would help address my back aches too!

  189. We go to a lot of parties in different parts of the city and other cities and I would use this to get directions if I got lost.

  190. Unlike a lot of the others, I don’t have a laptop, but I sure could use this little cutie patootie! I am a single mom, was recently diagnosed with cancer, and a full time student getting my masters in nursing. I would use this for talking and seeing my family over the holidays via web cam. I don’t get to see them often as we live hundreds of miles away, and this would be sooo awesome to see how they liked their gifts, to see how big the neice and nephew got, to see my mom and dad and not just hear their voices, as well as let them see my son and how big that he has gotten:)

  191. If i had a Viliv X70 I would use it in our travels this Holiday. I would download movies to watch as we travel. I would use the GPS to make sure we don’t get lost. I would type on the touchscreen keyboard a journal of our trip, I would use the WiFi to check out the internet as we are on the road. This would be one of the most awesomest gifts we could receive!
    Thx for offereing this.
    LuvMoeDog2@ aol dot com

  192. I would use this to keep up with my blog while traveling as well as school purposes as I am going back in the Spring. It would mean the world to me & be of such help!

  193. I would love to have this fab little tool! I don’t use my smartphone for anything except talking, because the screen is just too darn small for these old eyes. This would give me so much more flexibility and wouldn’t weigh me down like a full-size laptop. I want it!!

  194. I would love to win one so I don’t have to bring my full-size laptop in addition to all the kids stuff such as high chair, diapers, etc when visiting relatives. I definitely want to win it!

  195. I’d use mine for wedding planning too! May is coming up quick.. Thanks!!

  196. I would use this for our real estate business! Awesome!

  200. I would use so I can stop getting lost driving to stores.

    brownatural at gmail dot com

    Thanks!

  222. Small and practical like me!

  223. I would use it to look up recipes in my kitchen.

  224. This is so cute. I would love to be able to access the internet away from home.

  225. I would use the GPS seeing how I am always getting lost!

  226. Shirley Westenskow1

I am a writer, a mother of 13 assorted bio-, step- and foster- children and hoards of grands and greats. Boy would this little gadget help me stay better connected to the clan AND not stress my arthritic elbows packing it around as my lifesize laptop does!

  227. I would love to organize this New Year’s Resolution come true!

  228. This little gadget looks great to me. My adult daughters seem to have every other type of gadget, I’d sure like to beat them to the punch on this one.

    May Schultz
    may041827@yahoo.com

  229. This would be great, I’d love to be able to check my email and tweet on the go. I could use it while I wait for my daughter’s dance class or my son’s basketball practices to be over.

  230. How would this small Mobile Internet Device make my life easier? For starters, I would not have to lug around my big and heavy laptop for more than 90% of my daily tasks. Having a full featured laptop that is so small and portable will just help in my goal of being “Connected all the time” on facebook, twitter, my blog, email and instant messaging. Wow!

  231. Well. Technically I think that NYE is the only Holiday celebration left, so I guess that I’d use it to tweet all my friends a Happy New Year?

BUT! If I HAD had this thing before Christmas I’d have used it on every single lunch break to buy all of my presents online. Then I could have avoided the mall, and I’d still have most of my sanity left today.

(OK, I still wouldn’t have sanity, but it would have been due to other things, not the mall.)

  232. I would use my new mobile internet device to stay organized. I love using Excel to keep track of things, and this is would be so much more convenient than checking on my clunky, heavy laptop.

  233. I would use it for everything from browsing the internet to checking my e-mail to using is as a day planner. There are endless uses!

  234. My daughter just got engaged, so I’d use this to help us organize & plan the wedding.

  235. A better question is how would I not use this? Hmmm I think I would use it for everything! I love the idea of being able to access Kindle and Twitter :)

  236. Blogged – awendybird.blogspot.com

  237. I would love to have one of these babies to read blogs…that’s pretty much what I use my home computer for…that and facebook.

  238. I would use this new mobile internet device to broadcast, communicate, and keep in touch with friends and family when I’m out and about and away from my desktop computer. I’d use it as a GPS device to keep from getting lost wherever I might be going … I’d keep myself entertained playing games on it while waiting for appointments, and the list goes on. There are so many possibilities for a nifty gadget like this :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!

  239. What a wonderful little thing, I can carry it around in my tote bag! I always feel unproductive & lazy on my bus commute but I could use this to check my emails and pay bills before my work day really starts!

  240. Renee Richardson

I would also use Netflix on it as well as let my kids watch some of their favorite television shows on NickJr.com
Thanks for the great contest and Happy Wedding Planning :)

  241. This would give me happy freedom away from our big computer in the basement.
